@leafwatch If you want to talk economy, then we can talk economy. Yea, we’re in debt but economies shift. I never said that the U.S. isn’t waning in power. And debt is certainly a big problem of that. Your comment, however, that i was responding to only addressed military power and the spending associated with that and nothing about the economy. So, please, learn how to debate and form a coherent argument before opening your mouth.

@leafwatch Uhhhhhhhhh, I think you need to educate yourself a little more. Yea, the Soviets fell because socialism is an inherently flawed economic system wen applied to a large scale population. Factor in the fact that they engaged in an unsustainable military build up with the U.S., of course the Soviet’s went bankrupt. You never bought up over all military spending you moron, you just made some stupid comment on U.S. overseas military bases.

Well then try the Soviet empire. They had adequate communication tech — they controlled it totally, and they controlled the economy. Like all massive bureaucracies they overspent and bankrupted the economy just as our massive bureaucracy has. You really need to educate yourself. Those trillions of debt our economy is based on are real. With ever more spending and ever tighter government control, the economy can never recover. The world is starting to dump the dollar; educate yourself.

@leafwatch no…i think you’re talking out of your ass. empires fell for reasons WAY more complex than what you are talking about now but, perhaps mostly, the ancient empires fell because they grew too large and, without adequate communication technology or a truly developed economy, could not sustain their growth. America has to project military might, just like any country would but i doubt we’re going bankrupt.

leafwatch: even tho i do agree a lot of what you say. You must also not forget that you have a very powerful education that u might not be able to have anywhere else. Not like going to stupid school for 12 years, but more of an education of what u have been saying, good theories are a sign that the “Fake” freedom u speak of, is over your eyes that helps u question it. I grant you today’s empire is more sophisticated than the ancient ones bases solely on brutal aggression. (although the US does wage unending aggressive wars; Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan did not attack us)
Though old empires weren’t currency-based, they did run out of resources. Otherwise they wouldn’t have stopped the aggression. They didn’t suddenly become enlightened and benevolent.
And in the last 40 years the US has staged coups and murders of foreign leaders, and buys influence.

Name one single nation we have taken control of in the last 40 years that is under the authority of the leader of our nation and bound by our laws…
And no, all empires did not fall because they ran out of money…Greece, Rome, Mongolia, Egypt, Mesopotamia, countless Chinese Dynasties, the last Japanese Shogunate…ill run out of character count long before empires that didnt fall because of no money.

There is no “free world” if you use your liberty to disparage those who are working hard to awaken minds to the injustice of never-ending, undeclared military aggression by the monster US Empire that set out to control the entire world.
