In the stage version of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL this song is a duet between Gabriella and Troy with the rest of the cast (in our production) backing them up, rather than a solo as in the movie. It was absolutely beautiful — my favorite song in the production.
I hate when I’m trying to watch a movie and people just won’t SHUT THE UP. Don’t you hate loud people in movie theaters?? Ghetto, white, black, proper, teenagers, EVERYONE!!! Just shut the up please.
This is the song “We’re All in This Together” from the stage version of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL performed in March 2007 by the Greer Children’s Theatre in Greer, SC.
The stage version of this song actually improves on the movie version, in my opinion. Listen carefully to the lyrics, which feature the “rebels” confronting the “cliques” over whether or not to stick to the status quo. In choreographing this song, we were going for a “West Side Story”-style rumble.
