Here again, the beautiful Sue Ward honors us with her talent on the “Wonder Morton” Theatre Pipe Organ. This spectacular organ resides in the Jersey City NJ Loew’s theater at Journal Square. The work and total dedication by many crewpeople and crewchief Bob Martin have made this a “place to see and a magnificent organ to hear” in NJ.

The Bob Balfour Wonder Morton Theatre Pipe Organ is being officially reintroduced to New Jerseyans this weekend. The organ, located at the Loew’s Jersey movie palace in Jersey City’s Journal Square neighborhood, was painstakingly restored over 11 years. There will be special performances all weekend, visit loewsjersey.org for details.
Five of the theaters built by Marcus Loew are called his Wonder Theaters. Alan G. Wasenius looks at them including the Paradise, Kings, Jersey, 175 Street, and Valencia.
