Are movies in English translated into French for French movie theaters?

I am obsessed with Harry Potter, however, I will be in France when it is released. I won’t be in a major city at the time of the release. Will movie theaters in southern France show Harry Potter part 2 in English or just in French?
Normally they should be in French, EXCEPT in great cities: Paris, Marseilles, Lyon, Nice, etc.
look in the cinema, where there is VF wrote (Version Française, French Version) that will be in French, totally in French… but in major cities AND ONLY in major cinemas companies (UGC, Gaumont, MK2, etc.) the film are sometimes in VO (Version Originale, so in English with subtitle). if it’s a film "for adult" that will be only in English, if it is for young adult (Pirates of the Caribbean sea, or… Harry Potter for example) it is in VF and sometimes in VO. (Normally 8 VF a day and 2-3 VO)

Am sure they must be. Either subtitled or dubbed in French.
If they are subtitled then you will probably be ok as the dialogue
will still be in English but if they are dubbed you may have a problem
I guess when you get there you can find out before you actually spend
your money on something you won’t understand.
Enjoy your trip.

They will just be in French. In the vast majority of French movie theaters, movies are all dubbed in French, especially if they play big blockbuster movies like Harry Potter. Don’t expect to find many subtitled movies, unless you go to some small town theaters that play odd or small budget movies.
