A beautiful old movie theater sadly left to rot for 30 years. This could be the Radio City Music Hall of Brooklyn.

    I’ll never forget …
I’ll never forget this place, use to go there all the time when it was like new, had all the furniture and statues.
Tickets were sold at the outside ticket booth, then you go into this long carpeted entrance with all wood phone booths at the end.
The main lobby had a candy counter at the bottom of that beautiful staircase.
The movie lobby had furniture and statues, huge marble water fountains. Massive bathrooms with bronze statues. One time I was the only one seated in the theater, nice!

I miss seeing that incredible marquee covered with flashing lights, and the big neon LOEWS sign. Went by there not long ago, its dark and depressing. Please save this jewel of a theater, somebody !

    The King is another …
The King is another Beacon Theater or Radio City Music Hall waiting patiently to be reborn. The people of Brooklyn would be foolish to allow Manhattan to have all the glory, and let such a treasure continue to rot away.

This was an amazing palace, and I remember it well. We had our Lincoln HS graduation there, too.) Where’s Bruce Ratner, with all his money and grand plans to relocate the NJ Nets to Bklyn and build up the area? This isn’t that far away from there…
