Does anyone know if The Human Centipede is going to be showing in movie theaters in the US? Because its release date is friday and I would really like to see it, but I wasn’t sure if I will be able to since it isn’t a main-stream film.
Yes but don’t hold your breath. For the first one, they have an exclusive engagement starting in NY on April 30th with possible expansion on May 7. What that means is that they don’t have any theaters that are scheduled to show it but they are hoping that some will. Being that this is at the start of the spring / summer movie season, I question if many or if any will take them up on it.
Apparently there is already a sequel and rumors about HC III. The review I found isn’t promising but you might want to look here. Looking at the trailer, it looks like they are trying to do a Phantasm where the movie is so bad that it becomes a cult classic.

I was wondering what the estimated cost is for a slide advertisement at movie theaters with companies like Screenvision.
in the range of $2000 for 6 months
What happened to all of the drive-in movie theaters? I don’t get it. Did everyone just stop going or did they just decide to start going to movie theaters instead. It’s not fair. I remember going when I was a really little. I wish I had the chance to really experience going to the drive-in. Such a brilliant piece of American history lost. It’s a shame. What do you think?
They could make more by selling the real estate and investing in multiplexes. I am from Sydney, Australia and we used to have about 20. Now there are only 2 left. I remember taking my mother and siblings to our local in dad’s car when I first got my licence, and later taking a girl to see one movie 3 times before I actually managed to see any of it.
This ran as a commercial in cinemas (movie theaters) in the UK during the 1970s
