What do movie theaters do with old movie standees?

Posted on March 5th, 2011 by admin

Does anyone who just might know or who works at a movie theater know what the theaters do with old standees, cutouts, cardboard setups, etc. when the movie has finished its theater run? I absolutely LOVEE the Easy A standee (where you can stand in the spot and take a picture) and was wondering if there was any possible way I could get my hands on one somehow. If anyone knows I would love any answers. THANK YOU!!

Most places just throw them out. Or if one of the employees ask for it. Best bet is ask someone who works there or even a manager (depending on the type of theatre they might have a different way of getting rid of it) if they can hold it for you and keep checking back.

Would you be in favor of putting full body scanners in movie theaters and other public places?

I mean we have to be safe right?

Who knows what someone could bring to movie theaters?

Too late! It’s already here. http://www.privacydigest.com/2010/08/25/full%20body%20scanners%20airports%20streets

Body scanners have been installed in vans that are being driven around city streets as we speak.

Edit: It’s my business, the same thing happened to me once, but mine were bandage scissors. You know, the ones with the blunt ends? How ridiculous!

How do movie theaters tell if ur 13?

Posted on November 8th, 2010 by admin

So I turned 13 like a month ago. How do movie theaters tell if ur 13 so I can get in2 PG-13 movies with my friends?

Rated R enforcement is the only one we check ID for. PG-13 only means parents with kids under 12 should consider whats in the movie before watching it. You are ok to watch PG-13 without parent supervision or need of an ID

Three Minutes or Less: Lesbians in Cinema: Rotten Tomatoes Show

Posted on July 11th, 2010 by admin

We asked Alonso Duralde, a man who’s literally written a book on gay cinema, to give us the history of lesbians in film in three minutes or less. A frequent guest reviewer for The Rotten Tomatoes Show, Duralde explains how indie movies like 1985’s “Desert Hearts” eventually expanded the portrayal of lesbian characters in American movies beyond double-crossing, homicidal vampires.

Middle Men Official Movie Trailer (In Theaters August 6th)

Posted on June 28th, 2010 by admin

In 1995, everyone had a VCR, music was sold in record stores, and the world-wide-web was a new found discovery. Businessman Jack Harris (Luke Wilson) had the perfect life — a beautiful family and a successful career fixing problem companies. Then he met Wayne Beering (Giovanni Ribisi) and Buck Dolby (Gabriel Macht), two genius but troubled men, who had invented the way adult entertainment is sold over the internet. When Jack agrees to help steer their business, he soon finds himself caught between a 23 year-old star and the FBI all the while becoming one of the wealthiest entrepreneurs of his time. Witness a story so outrageous, you won’t believe it’s true. A story that proves business is a lot like sex… getting in is easy, pulling out is hard.

Starring: Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi, Gabriel Macht, Jacinda Barrett, James Caan, Terry Crews, Laura Ramsey, Rade Sherbedgia, Kevin Pollak, Graham McTavish, Kelsey Grammer

Screenplay by: Andy Weiss & George Gallo

Directed by: George Gallo
