I’ve been planning to take my dad and brother to see Star Trek this Friday but when I checked on Fandango for Friday they didn’t even have Star Trek listed at either theater. It’s listed for Thursday though. It won’t let me view Fridays listings. Please tell me they haven’t pulled the movie out of theaters already.
Just buy your tickets at the theatre. Star Trek isn’t going anywhere off the screen soon. maybe if you wait until 9:00pm tonight or tomorrow Fandango will have the listing for you. I don’t bother with Fandango anymore myself. I go during the first showing of the day on my day off and hardly anyone is there at 10:30am in the morning. Fresh popcorn. Fresh seats.
I am a competitive dancer/choreographer and I am looking for some songs to choreograph a musical theater jazz duet to.
I don’t know if you want traditional, new, old so I’m putting everything in!
The Nicest Kids In Town – Hairspray
Mama, I’m A Big Girl Now – Hairspray
Welcome To The 60’s – Hairspray
Run And Tell That! – Hairspray
You Can’t Stop The Beat – Hairspray
Oh So Quite – Bjork
Cell Block Tango – Chicago
I Can’t Do It Alone – Chicao (This would be good for a duo)
Razzle Dazzle – Chicago
I Can’t Do It Alone – Chicago
All That Jazz – Chicago
Farmer and the Cowman – Oklahoma
Cabaret – Cabaret
High School Musical lol ;D
Popular – Wicked
And the list goes on lol
Hope this helps!

Everyone thinks I’m too smart to do what it is I REALLY want to do. I want to perform. I take voice lessons, my dancing is okay, I love to act and sing, and i’ve been in a couple shows. I did my highschool’s musical and I miss it soooooo much. I’ve asked about doing local stuff, but my mom won’t let me because she doesn’t want to drive me. Can i convince her?
Try explaining to her the feeling you get when your up on stage taking a bow. Every performer has an inner passion inside of them. A burning fire that can only be fed by an audience. Don’t let your mother stand in your way. You are in charge of what you want to pursue. Explain to your mom that this is what brings you joy and happiness in your life. If she doesn’t understand try to find a buddy at your school involved in community theater and try hitching a ride with them. If you are still at a loss find a bus schedule in your area. Do this all with your mom’s permission. If she can’t trust you it could cause some major problems in the future. Good luck and Break-A-Leg!
Somebody told me that in movie theaters, they put flash a screen in the middle of the movie that says, "go to the concession stand now". Apparently the ad flashes so quickly that you don’t consciously notice it, but subconsciously you want popcorn all of a sudden.
I have a hard time believing this – you’d think some people would notice it… so is it true?
I wouldn’t be surprised, but I do know there is a lot of product placement in movies. I worked for United Parcel Service and was approached many times to have our products in a movie for a fee. So subliminal messages are not new and very possible.
Its always youtube.com dawg.
im working on this unit in grade 11 drama…and i could really use some tips from any experienced actors out there
A good play to work on would be Sondheim’s "Into the Woods". "Into the Woods" intermingles most of the fairy tale characters of the Brothers Grimm into a clever and deep concept, incorporating the many facets and themes of childhood and the raising of children. Basically, this whole play is about children.
Excluding the IMAX theater at Pacific Science Center, what theaters in the Seattle area are capable of showing the new 3D formatted movies, such as the recent "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and the upcoming "Up" from Pixar? Many movies are being developed in the new format, and my understanding is that "normal" movie theaters–not just IMAX–can be upgraded to show this new format. But which theaters are doing it?
The Coraline hint helped. I found this:
Theaters showing Coraline 3D
Bella Bottega
Redmond, WA, 98052
425-556-9323
REAL D 3D
Meridian
Seattle, WA, 98101
223-9600 x808
REAL D 3D
Right now Coraline is in 3d and the jonas brother movie will be out in like a week and will be in 3d. If at a regular theater it is listed as just "Coraline" then it is in 2d. If it is listed as "Coraline 3d" or Coraline in 3d" then it is in 3d. That is how they make the difference between the two. Just look for listing in the paper or online. I’m sure Seattle as big of a city that it is has a few theaters that show 3d movies. Also when you buy the ticket just make sure say I want to see Coraline in 3d so they understand you want the 3d version, just in case they have a 2d showing as well.
Everytime I see a movie, employees just stand there and do nothing! They arnt sweeping or cleaning up or anything and they stand for the entire movie and see a free movie at a theater and not have to pay! Why is that? It drives me crazy. I wish I had a job like them where I can watch new movies everyday and not pay!
Get a job at a movie theater.
